At eTow, we want to give you the best possible experience to ensure that you enjoy our service. To do this, we need to store your vehicular data so we can serve an exceptional and personalized service specifically for your vehicle(s). Your privacy and the security of your personal data is, and will always be, enormously important to us. So, we want to transparently explain how and why we gather, store, share and use your personal data - as well as outline the controls and choices you have around when and how you choose to share your personal data.

 

ATA Pte Ltd ("eTow") takes your privacy very seriously. We ask that you read this Privacy Policy ("Policy") carefully as it contains important information about what to expect when eTow collects personal information about you and your vehicle and how eTow will use your personal data. That is our objective, and this Privacy Policy ("Policy") will explain exactly what we mean in further detail below.

 

This Policy applies to information we collected and received in the course of your use of our websites, mobile application and services (collectively, the "Services"). 

 

2. About this Policy

 

This Policy sets out the essential details relating to your personal data relationship with ATA Pte Ltd. The Policy applies to all eTow services and any associated services (referred to as the 'eTow Service'). The terms governing your use of the eTow Service are defined in our Terms and Condition. (the "Terms and Conditions").

 

From time to time, we may develop new or offer additional services. If the introduction of these new or additional services results in any material change to the way we collect or process your personal data we will provide you with more information or additional terms or policies. Unless stated otherwise when we introduce these new or additional services, they will be subject to this Policy. 

 

3. Personal data collected from you

 

"Personal Data" is any information that can be used to identify you or from which you are identifiable. This includes but is not limited to your name, nationality, telephone number, bank and credit card details, personal interests, email address, your image, government-issued identification numbers, biometric data, race, date of birth, marital status, religion, health information, vehicle and insurance information, employment information and financial information.

We will obtain personal data about you when you use our Services through the use of cookies and similar tracking devices. For example, we may monitor the number of times you visit our platforms or which pages you go to. This information helps us to build a profile of our users. Some of this data will be aggregated or statistical, which means that we will not be able to identify you individually.

At eTow, we collect Personal Data about you in the ways listed below.

 

We may also combine the collected Personal Data with other Personal Data in our possession. If you have or are a party to multiple relationships with us (for example if you use our Services across our various business verticals, or if you are both a driver-partner/roadside service provider partner on our transport vertical or a customer on our other business verticals), we will link your Personal Data collected across your various capacities to facilitate your use of our Services and for the Purposes described below.

 

User Data: 

 

This is the personal data that is provided by you or collected by us to enable you to sign up for and use the eTow Service. Depending on the type of eTow plan you sign up for, this may include your username, email address, phone number, birth date, gender, vehicle details, and country.
 

Some of the personal data we will ask you to provide is required in order to create your account. You also have the option to provide us with additional personal data in order to make your account more personalized.

The exact personal data we will collect depends on the type of eTow Service plan you sign up for, how you create an account, and whether you use third party services (such as Facebook and Gmail) to sign up and use the eTow Service. If you use a third party service to create an account, we will receive personal data via that third party service but only when you have consented to that third party service sharing your personal data with us. 

 

When you register your mobile number with us, we may use it to contact you about products and services we think may be of interest to you and will send you transactional/notification SMS pertaining to the services/tools that you have requested for. By submitting your mobile number, you opt-in to receive text messages from us, and acknowledge that standard messaging charges from your mobile network service provider may apply, and you represent and warrant that the number provided is your own mobile number.

 

Usage Data:


This is the personal data that is collected about you when you’re accessing and/or using the eTow Service. Some examples are:

  1. your location (to detect pick-up locations and abnormal route variations);

  2. feedback, ratings and compliments;

  3. transaction information (such as payment method and distance travelled);

  4. information about how you interacted with our Apps, Website or Services (such as features used and content viewed);

  5. device information (such as hardware model and serial number, IP address, file names and versions and advertising identifiers or any information that may provide indication of device or app modification);

  6. personal data you enter in messages when you use our in-app communication features;

  7. personal data that may be captured through your interaction with us, our roadside service provider partners, in-vehicle audio and/or video recording during a ride (such as your image or voice or both, and its related metadata).

  8. Information about your type of eTow Service plan.

  9. Information about your interactions with the eTow Service such as your search queries (including the date and time of any requests you make), your service history, your browsing history, and your interactions with the eTow Service, content, other eTow users. This also may include details of your use of third party applications in connection with the eTow Service.

    eTow collects location related information such as current location, route and travel information in order to provide, personalise and improve our Services for you. Location related information can be based in the form of GPS signals, gyro/oscilloscope and other information from device sensors and receivers.
     

Personal Data about Service Provider Partners
If you are a driver partner, we may collect:
 

  1. your entity or registered company data; and

  2. personal data that may be captured through your interaction with us 

 

4. What we use your personal data for

 

When you use or interact with the eTow Service, we use a variety of technologies to process the personal data we collect about you for various reasons.

 

ATA Pte Ltd ("eTow") may use, combine and process your Personal Data for the following purposes ("Purposes"):  

Your Personal Data will be used to provide, personalize, maintain and improve our Apps, Websites and Services. This includes using your Personal Data provided by you to us such as:

 

  1. To provide and personalize the eTow service;

  2. To understand, diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues with the eTow Service;

  3. To provide you with Services;

  4. To engage you with provide services;

  5. To create, administer and update your account;

  6. Conducting due diligence checks;

  7. To verify your identity;

  8. To verify your age (where necessary);

  9. To validate your service and process payments;

  10. To track the progress of your trip and detect abnormal trip variations;

  11. To enable features that personalise your App, such as lists of your favourite workshop and previous destinations;

  12. To process payment;

  13. To evaluate and develop new features, technologies, and improvements to the eTow Service.

  14. For marketing, promotion, and advertising purposes.

  15. To perform internal operations necessary to provide our Services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing and research, monitoring and analysing usage and activity trends;

  16. To enable communications between our users; 

  17. To enable our partners to manage and allocate fleet resources; 

  18. To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;

  19. To conduct business planning, reporting, and forecasting; and

  20. To detect fraud, including fraudulent payments and fraudulent use of the eTow Service.

 

5. How we protect your information/personal data
 

We are committed to maintaining the security of personal information. We have put in place appropriate security procedures and technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information.

 

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to help protect the security of your personal data; however, please note that no system is ever completely secure. We have implemented various policies including, encryption, access, and retention policies to guard against unauthorized access and unnecessary retention of personal data in our systems. Your password protects your user account, so we encourage you to use a strong password that is unique to your eTow account, never share your password with anyone, limit access to your computer and browser, and log out after having used the eTow Service.

 

Information we may share

 

Service Providers
We work with service providers that work on our behalf, which may need access to certain personal data in order to provide their services to us. These companies include those we've hired to provide customer service support, operate the technical infrastructure that we need to provide the eTow Service, assist in protecting and securing our systems and services, and help market eTow’s own products and services as well as partner products, services, events, and co-branded promotions in which eTow is involved.
 

Payment Gateway Processors
We will share your personal data with our payment processors as necessary to enable them to process your payments, and for anti-fraud purposes.
 

Law enforcement and data protection authorities
We share your personal data when we believe it is necessary for us to do so in order to comply with a legal obligation under applicable law, or respond to valid legal process, such as a search warrant, a court order, or a subpoena. We also share your personal data where we in good faith believe that it is necessary for the purpose of our own, or a third party’s legitimate interest relating to national security, law enforcement, litigation, criminal investigation, protecting the safety of any person, or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm, provided that we deem that such interest is not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms requiring the protection of your personal data.
 

Other eTow group Companies
We will share your personal data with other eTow group companies to carry out our daily business operations and to enable us to maintain and provide the eTow Service to you.
 

Advertising Partners
We work with advertising partners to enable us to customize the advertising content you may receive on the eTow Service. These partners help us deliver more relevant ads and promotional messages to you, which may include interest based advertising (also known as online behavioral advertising), contextual advertising, and generic advertising on the eTow Service. Our advertising partners and us may process certain personal data to help eTow understand your interests or preferences so that we can deliver advertisements that are more relevant to you.
 

Purchases of our business
We will share your personal data in those cases where we sell or negotiate to sell our business to a buyer or prospective buyer. In this situation, eTow will continue to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data and give you notice before your personal data is transferred to the buyer or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law.

 

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide you with the eTow Service and for legitimate and essential business purposes, such as maintaining the performance of the eTow Service, making data-driven business decisions about new features and offerings, complying with our legal obligations, and resolving disputes.

The following section details which third-party cookies you might encounter through this site. eTow website and app uses Google Analytics which is one of the most widespread and trusted analytics solutions on the web for helping us to understand how you use the site and ways that we can improve your experience. These cookies may track things such as how long you spend on the site and the pages that you visit so we can continue to produce engaging content. If you no longer wish to receive cookies you can use your web browser settings to accept, refuse and deactivate cookies by deleting your browsing history and clearing the cache from your Internet browser. We may occasionally make changes to this Policy.
When we make material changes to this Policy, we'll provide you with prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances, e.g., by displaying a prominent notice within the eTow Service or by sending you an email and/or a device notification. We may notify you in advance. Please, therefore, make sure you read any such notice carefully.

eTow shall have the right to modify, update or amend the terms of this Policy at any time by placing the updated Policy on the Websites. By continuing to use the Apps, Websites or Services, purchase products from ATA Pte Ltd or continuing to communicate or engage with eTow following the modifications, updates or amendments to this Policy, you signify your acceptance of such modifications, updates or amendments.
